Christmas fervor has made its way in India. Drop in at The Leela, Ambience-Gurgaon to witness one such classic epitome showcasing the Christmassy vibe in its pure and ultimate form.
Christmas ornaments are swooned over by everyone for the vividness it holds. It’s raining gold, silver, red and white all over in forms of wreaths, candles, balls, stars, trees, et al. Amidst all the glam and glitz, the hotel lobby of The Leela is reigning with high-end elegance, leaving no stone unturned to imbibe the festivity of Christmas in its true pompous fashion. The lobby adorned with traditional festive decorations in all its splendour and classic hues.
The highlight is the giant Gingerbread House placed in the lobby like grandeur. This giant gingerbread house – christened “Santa’s Goodie House” – is created with 6000 tiles, approx 900 kgs of gingerbread and 600 kgs of royal icing. Hotel’s Pastry Executive Chef Pablo Morales Melendrez, along with his team, took 10 days to build and bake the house which measures about 640 cms in height and 590 cm in width.
A true Santa world
It, indeed, gives a glance of a magical world of Santa. Each window has a display of musical Santa that truly captures the imagination and takes you to his world. It is the brainchild of Executive Chef Ramon Salto and Executive Pastry Chef Pablo Morales. With homemade gingerbread tiles exterior, this house was unveiled on 5th December 2014.
Inside this house, there’s a complete display of homemade Christmas goodies starting from chocolate Santas, Christmas trees, miniature of gingerbread houses, Christmas stollen, cakes, and assorted cookies, for you to take home and indulge in. Along with this, they have a complete range of our Christmas hampers, which is a perfect gift for your loved ones.
Indulge in the sugar cravings
We particularly loved the Pralines in various delightful flavors ranging from hazelnut milk chocolate to caramel and cinnamon white snowflake chocolate, and after-eight mint delight dark chocolate. The Yule logs in two delectable flavors of chocolate with hazelnut and raspberry with vanilla-filling were sumptuous too. We even loved the Christmas stollen and mince pies that melted in the mouth to give a delightful experience.
All this and much more isn’t a thing to be missed at The Leela this Christmas.
There was a noble initiative too
Alongside, the hotel has taken an initiative for underprivileged children wherein people can simply pull a shoe tag from the Christmas tree and put in donation box along with the money they wish to donate. The deposited money will be used in buying shoes for the children.
